Our Most Frequently Asked Questions:

Now that you’ve met Alabama Virtual Care, we’d love for you to get to know us a little better. Below are answers to some of the questions we’re most often asked about who we can see and how our visits work.

Who Can Be a Patient at Alabama Virtual Care?

Alabama Virtual Care proudly serves patients who are physically located in Alabama at the time of their virtual visit. Whether you live here year-round or are visiting from out of state, we’re happy to care for you while you’re in Alabama.

We see patients age 5 and older for a wide range of common health needs — from minor illnesses to ongoing primary care for adults and teens.

Our mission is simple: to make healthcare inclusive, respectful, and judgment-free. We believe everyone deserves a safe space to talk about their health, where they are treated with dignity, compassion, and understanding.

At Alabama Virtual Care, you’ll find a team that listens first and cares deeply — because your health and comfort come first.

Can You See Children?

Yes! Alabama Virtual Care can see children age 5 and up for simple sick visits such as:

  • Viral illnesses (like flu or stomach bugs)

  • Minor respiratory or stomach symptoms

  • School notes for missed classes

We also provide primary care for teens age 14 and older through telehealth visits.

At this time, we’re unable to offer full primary care for younger children due to the need for in-office immunizations. However, we’re always happy to help families with sick visits, questions, and guidance when your child isn’t feeling well.

Our team strives to make every visit — whether for a child, teen, or adult — feel comfortable, supportive, and inclusive.

Compassionate, Inclusive Care for Every Patient

Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, need a same-day sick visit, or just want a provider who treats you with respect and kindness, Alabama Virtual Care is here for you.

We believe everyone deserves high-quality healthcare that feels personal and approachable — because great care starts with being seen and heard.
